The road along the edge of Croaghaun Mountain to the gleaming white sands of Keem strand offers one of the most breathtaking views of Achill Island. Though the road is a lot busier now than it was over fifty years ago when John Hinde captured this very same view—one I’ve attempted to pay homage to—the rugged bay and sparkling emerald waters remain as translucent and captivating as ever.
