Cross the road from the Aghadoe Hotel on the north of Killarney and the views of the Lower Lake viewed across Mahony’s Point to the backdrop of the Tomies and the Purple Mountain are spectacular. The light is constantly changing, creating flashes of glittering light along the water’s edge. In the distance, the arch of Brickeen Bridge can be glimpsed as the gateway to the lower lake.
