If you’re looking for trad music, this is the place. The back room at Matt Molloy’s is small and hot, but you’re right on top of the musicians, which makes for a very intimate experience. When not on tour, Matt may join in the session, and if you have been dazzled by his flute playing with The Chieftains, you might be lucky enough to sit down here for the price of a pint and hear the same music.
The bar was established in 1896 and Malloy took it over in 1988, opening for business a year later.
