This county Cork castle is world famous for it’s stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it. The stone is set in the wall below the battlements, and to kiss it, you have to lean precariously backwards from the parapet walk! Blarney Castle’s gardens are some of the most visited in Ireland and a joy to explore. You can make a wish on the famous wishing steps while the waterfall cascades alongside or you can take a stroll by the lake and river side, the woodlands and arboretums.
