You used to get a great view of the Rock of Cashel on the old main road from the Horse and Jockey, heading south. These days, the motorway takes you into Cashel and from there you find yourself directed to the car park at the foot of the rock. I wanted to capture some of the unique nature of this abrupt escarpment on an otherwise flat landscape, so I made my way around the side of the rock and found that this view now looks better than it ever did.
