I eventually got around to re-doing the Old Head of Kinsale lighthouse after a West Cork break in the summer of 2020.
On my two previous visits the fog had rolled in and I could barely see the lighthouse. This time, the green of the fourth hole on the Old Head Golf links basked in the sunshine just below the lighthouse compound while gulls wheeled around the 100-meter cliffs which drop steeply to the Atlantic far below.
