My intention is to keep adding to the collection. I’m constantly out sketching and drawing this fascinating country of ours and I hope in time to have a poster for each county, north and south and for most of the larger towns in between.

A bit of history

Ardnakinna lighthouse overlooks the entrance to Berehaven sound and guards the western entrance to Castletownbere. Far below, fishing boats pass and the broad Atlantic stretches off into the distance.

Ardnakinna  was established as an unlit beacon until the mid 1960’s when an ex lightship lantern was modified and mounted on a concrete platform to create an lighthouse proper.
